Fred S.Haeberle 6/26/1923 - 8/5/2018 Born in Washington D.C. Passed away at The Lighthouse at Lakeside Village in Omaha, NE. Audubon, Iowa resident from 1946 through January 2016 when he moved to Lakeside Village Assisted Living in Omaha NE. He served in the Coast Guard during WWII on the Destroyer Escort USS Pride 323. He was Mayor of Audubon 1956 to January 1960.Active in Masonic Lodge, Lions Club, American Legion and the Za-ga-zig Shrine Bagpipe Band in Des Moines. He owned and operatedListon Insurance Agency in Audubon which later became Haeberle Insurance. Survived by 4 children, Jackie Williams of Omaha, Fred A. Haeberle of Las Vegas, Jody Haeberle of Thornton, CO and Bob Haeberle of Phoenix, 6 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.Fred is also survived by his many close and dear friends from Audubon and his new friends from Lakeside and The Lighthouse. A special thanks to Lakeside and The Lighthouse for the extraordinary love, care, and compassion during his time there. Memory Circle Service to be held at The Lighthouse Aug. 15 at 11 AM with burial at a later date at Omaha National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to The Lighthouse, 17600 Arbor St., Omaha NE 68130
