Elias Martinez

Elias “Lee” Martinez an Omaha resident, of Omaha Nebraska went home to be with the Lord on December 25th, 2024. Elias was employed at Chubb’s Food as a meat cutter. He made sure that every customer was happy with what they wanted for their family. And, made sure that every holiday or special occasion that the meat department was decorated to his liking.

Elias was born in Hereford Texas, on September 12th, 1968 to Cornelio Martinez Sr. and Ramona Torres Martinez. He loved all his family and his two daughters very much. His favorite NFL Team was the Dallas Cowboys and he made sure he never missed a game nor did he ever miss an episode of The First 48. In Lee's spare time he made sure he would call his sisters and his brothers. He would love to play Spanish Bingo aka Loteria with his sisters and niece's, and go to local casinos. He enjoyed cooking “Feather Bones” for his family. His favorite drink was Chocolate Milkshakes from McDonalds. And, he enjoyed sitting outside to watch traffic while enjoying his “Cold Ones” and eat his pickle sunflower seeds. And, when someone would pass by rather he knew them or not he would always say “Whats up Esa or Whats up Vato”! His favorite pop group was ABBA and, song was Dancing Queen. Any stray cat or dog that would cross his path he wanted to take it home with him.

Lee is preceded in death by his father Cornelio Martinez Sr, and mother Ramona Torres Martinez, sister San Juana Plunkett, and brother Rudy Martinez Sr. Both paternal and maternal grandparents. And various aunts and uncles.

Survivors include his two daughters Kayla and Suzette Martinez. His two sisters, Ernestina Mejia of Omaha Nebraska, and Maria Martinez and her husband Alex Esparza of Amarillo Texas, Four brothers , Cornelio Sr and his wife Eliza Martinez of Hereford Texas, Gilbert Sr. and his wife Yolanda Martinez of Rock Valley Iowa, Martin Martinez of Amarillo Texas, Raul and his wife Adela Martinez of Amarillo Texas, and many nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held on Sunday, January 19 at 1 pm at Braman Mortuary Millard Chapel
