Edward Anderson, age 68 years passed away on June 15, 2019. He passed away peacefully at home with family by his side. Edward was born in Onawa, IA and grew up on a farm outside of Ute, IA with 9 brothers and sisters. He helped his father, Howard, on the farm and participated in 4H. This is where he learned to be a hard-working, kind hearted family man who would help anyone. Graduated from Charter Oak high school in Ute, Iowa. He then joined the United States Navy, where he served on the USS Midway during the Vietnam war. Soon after serving in the Navy he moved to Omaha,NE and started working in construction for Fideline. He married Rosemary in October 1991.Together they bought an acreage in Shelby IA. Ed was a scoutmaster of the Shelby Boy Scouts troop 93 with his grandsons, Nick and Tony, for many years. They were members of the Lutheran Church in Shelby. Ed also enjoyed playing darts, collecting matchbooks, spending time with his family, and the great outdoors. Ed was a devoted husband, father, brother, grandfather, uncle and friend. Ed had 2 daughters Lisa and Lena, 3 grandchildren, Nick, Tony and Jurnie, 4 great grandchildren Kory, Nicholas, William and Thomas. He also had many nieces and nephews that he loved dearly. He will be in our hearts forever and missed by all. Ed was Preceded in death by father Howard; sisters: Judy Milone, Ardith Morello, Theresa Schatzle; He is survived by: Wife Rosemary; Mother Catherine Anderson; Daughters: Lisa & Lena Sheehy; Grandchildren: Nick, Tony, Jurnie; Great Grandchildren: Kory, Nicholas, William, Thomas; Brothers: Jim (Sue), Bill (Nancy), Tom (Paula) Anderson; Sisters: Bev Warner, Trish Anderson, Mary (Rich) Freml; Brothers-in-law: Kirk (Deb) Schatzle, Tony Milone; Many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
