BOSAK, Edmund C. "Ed"
April 2, 1927 ~ June 25, 2024

Ed Bosak was born on April 2nd 1927 in Barnesville, MN to John and Agnes Bosak, He had 9 brothers and 3 sisters. Ed grew up on the family farm in Barnesville, MN. Ed joined the Navy in 1945, however he was honorably discharged because of a skin condition. After returning from the Navy he went to Barnesville High School where he enjoyed playing football. After graduation in the Spring of 1947 he went to work at several different jobs in the area. Ed then went to Minneapolis and worked at the Vickers plant with his brother Vic. It didn't take long for Ed to say, "that it was to dang cold for him in Minnesota." He then decided to make a visit to his aunt Clara in Fullerton Nebraska and never returned to Minnesota.

Ed then moved to Omaha NE for work where he met his wife Evelyn through his niece Genevieve (Egnoske) Koziol. They enjoyed dancing at Sokol Hall. After dating for a year the two were married on June 23rd 1951 at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Omaha NE. From this marriage one son, Ron, was born. In 1959 Ed worked in Millard for Western Electric and retired after 30 years. After retirement Ed and Evelyn traveled to many beautiful places in the United States and Europe. He enjoyed Husker Football and golf with his son.

Ed and Evelyn were happily married for 68 years. He was preceded in death by his wife Evelyn. Ed leaves behind his son Ron and many nieces and nephews, family and friends. Later in life, Ed had several favorite quotes. One of our favorites was, "I am not much of a golfer, but I'm one hell of a swinger!" Ed was able to get a hole-in-one at Miracle Hill.

One of his last quotes was, "Take your time leaving, but hurry back!"
