Schmitt, Earl Lee, Jr. At 57 years old, Earl Lee Schmitt, Jr. was unexpectedly taken Saturday in Bartlett, IA. He was born and raised in South Omaha where he developed an early love for cars. His passion revolved around many years of stock car racing, driving #70 at tracks in the metro area where he was known as Earl the Pearl. He was also an avid fisherman and loved to travel with his family. He was known for having a big and generous heart, always willing to give his time and talents. Earl was preceded in death by his parents, Earl Sr. and Darlene. He is survived by wife Beverly; mother of his children, Roxanne Schmitt; son Todd (Jessica) Schmitt; daughters, Tammy (Terry) Huit, Tonya Iske, Theresa (David) Ngumi; step-daughter Tihauna; grandchildren, Zachary, Cameron, Jacob, Tyler, Todd Jr., and Oliver; 2 brothers, Walter and Terry; many other family and friends. MEMORIAL SERVICE will be held Saturday February 23, 2013 at Braman Mortuary, SW Chapel, 6505 S. 144th St., Omaha, 68144.
