Douglas Lee Mastin passed away July 9, 2024 peacefully in Omaha, Nebraska. He is preceded in death by his wife, Kay Mastin (Poser), his parents, William Alfred Mastin and Lillian Rose (Brownell), and his three brothers, William "Bill", Arthur "Archie", and Roger. He is survived by his daughter, Charlene Rose Stump (Mastin), son Lance Douglas Mastin, and four step-children, Jon "JP", Clyde, Dixie, and Katye, four grandchildren, Phyllicia, Cecilia, Grace and Allyson and three great grandchildren, Sabrina, Anthony, and Lorenzo. As well as ten step-grandchildren and five step-great grandchildren.

He was born and raised in Rochester, New York, on November 19, 1947. He was the youngest of four brothers, William "Bill", Arthur "Archie", and Roger. He entered the United States Air Force in 1967 until his retirement receiving an honorable discharge in 1989. He served as Security Police, Military Training Instructor and Combat Arms Instructor. He honorably served in locations around the world such as Misawa Air Base, Japan, South Korea and Crete, Greece. Later, serving domestically, in California, South Dakota and Texas.

During his tour in Crete, Greece he met Beverly Hartman who became his wife in 1969, divorcing in 1988. After retiring from the Air Force in 1989, Douglas moved to Las Vegas where he met and later married Kay Poser in 1991. They were married until her death in December 2022. He worked in at the Nevada Test Site "Area 51"until retiring in his 60's and lived out his retirement in Arkansas.
