Dorothy “Dot” Marie Urwin (née Greise) was born to Francis and Doris Greise on March 17th, 1952, the third of nine children. Dot passed away on February 20th, 2023. She was preceded in death by father Francis Greise, mother Doris Greise née Wood, brother Frank and sister Anne Marie Greise. Dot is survived by husband Thomas, sons Jesse (Sarah) and Zachary (Chloe), and grandchildren Haley, Khalif (Cami), Clara, Presley, and Brodie; brothers: Mike (Alice) and Jim (Linda) and sisters: Margaret (Don), Barb, Joan (Rick), Mary (Roggie), and many nieces, nephews, relatives, and many friends. Dot’s primary hobby was gardening and canning fruits and vegetables. She was affectionately known as “the pickle queen” as she could pickle just about anything. Her cooking was an occasion to look forward to. She also enjoyed morel mushroom hunting, fishing, and jigsaw puzzles. Most importantly, Dot was a loving, caring wife, mother, and grandmother. Dot often traveled with her Husband, Tom. Since their retirement in 2004, they went to Las Vegas, Colorado, Minnesota, South Padre Island, New Orleans, and took several memorable trips to the Bahamas.
