MUNHALL-Dorothy Elaine (Straw), (81), passed away December 9th. Dorothy and husband Don graduated from Omaha’s North High, raised a family in the Keystone neighborhood, then retired to Arizona, trading snowy winters for the beauty of desert & mountains surrounding Tucson. Dorothy served as an active PTA officer for the Nebraska State PTA Association and for several area schools including West Maple Elmentary, Boyd Elementary and J.P. Lord schools. She was active in the Douglas County Extension, and was an unflappable 4-H club leader. In Tucson, Dorothy remained an active volunteer. She helped to establish and served on the Board of a foundation that provided ongoing services to hundreds of patients living with Multiple Sclerosis. Dorothy is preceded in death by parents Josephine and Henry Straw; husband, Don; and sister, Jo Montag. She is survived by her friend and companion, Emory Taylor of Tucson; brother Burt Straw of Omaha, children and their families: Dale/Diane, Dan/Aleta, Debbie, and Dixie/Charles Catlett, 9 grandchildren, and 6 great-grandchildren. VISITATION: Friday, Dec. 14th from 4 p.m. - 8 p.m.(family present after 6:30).
