MOSHER, Donna M. 3/17/1943 – 6/28/2019 Age 76 years of Omaha Donna Mary (Ferguson) Mosher,the second of six children, burst onto life’s scene on March 17, 1943, Saint Patrick’s Day, as seemed right for this baby of Scot-Irish descent. Her dad was an entrepreneurial dirt farmer, besides being a welder and business owner.Her mom was a housewife and restaurant ownerIt was in this household, where she learned to cook from scratch, sew, and develop determination to do well at whatever task she was given or desired to do. Early on, her beautiful voice was discovered and she was continually asked to sing solos around the area along with singing in numerous school groups in high school, college, and beyond.One of her greatest joys, after she accepted Christ as her Savior during her college years, was using her voice to sing praises in honor of her Savior. Donna had a caring, thoughtful personality with a love for laughter, music, people, and especially children.Her sparkling green eyes, warm smile, and often loud, melodious laugh, were always available to lighten up someone’s day.She cared for people and gave of herself wherever she could.This was the magnetwithin her that attracted many, including Steve, along with her love for God and desire to please Him. Unable to fulfill her desire to have biological children, she and Steve embraced adopting their two children, Shawn and Michelle, and loved them dearly. She also courageously faced and conquered many health challenges during her lifetime.But Alzheimer’s was the last great challenge that slowly ground her down, taking away her abilities, personhood, and finally her mortal life.But even during this time, as she struggled to resist the disease’s advance, people would still get glimpses of her inner joy when music played and her feet would bob up and down to it.Or when Steve would talk, read to her, or just hold her hand, she would often respond with an acknowledging smile and sometimes even a wink.And now she is finally free from this heavy burden and at home with Jesus.It has been a blessing for Steve to have shared their lives together. Donna is survived by her Husband of 52 years, Steve Mosher; Son Shawn Mosher; Daughter Michelle Mosher; Grand Children: Keli, Chris, Sierra; Great Grandson, Grayson; Brothers: Calvin (Sue) Ferguson, Richard (Mary Jane) Ferguson, Curnal (Estella) Ferguson, Jr.; Sister Patricia Ferguson; Many other relatives and friends.
