Donna Lu Germolik, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully on July 3, 2024 in Omaha, NE at the age of 79. She was born on Tuesday, May 1st, 1945 in Warner Robins, GA to the late Joseph Molnar and Marjorie (Huffman) of Tonawanda, NY.
She is survived by her loving spouse of nearly 60 years, Michael Germolik and her three daughters Tammy Germolik (Chris) of OK , Teri Vavra (Todd), and Tracy Neidig (Mark) of Omaha, NE and four grandchildren, Brandon Neidig, April Neidig, Austin Vavra and Ashleigh Vavra. She had four siblings, Richard Molnar (late Judy), Carol Winnickey (late John) Late Nancy Carpenter (John), and Jim Molnar (late Mary) and several nieces and nephews.
Donna moved to Omaha Nebraska from Tonawanda, New York in January of 1977 (during the blizzard) for her husband’s job with Western Electric. Donna worked for District 46 public schools. She loved the staff and kids that she worked with throughout the years. She came to be close friends with many of those she worked with.
Donna enjoyed camping, bowling, swimming, crafting and baking, and hanging out with family and friends. Donna loved the Buffalo Bills football team. She loved her grand puppies & great grand puppies. She also had a big sweet tooth!
A Celebration of Life service will be held at Braman Mortuary (Millard Chapel) in Omaha, NE on Sunday, July 14th at 12:30 pm with a visitation starting at 11:00 am. The family invites you to a reception at the same location following the service at 1:00 pm.
