JURGENSMEIER, Donald R. of Omaha formerly of Hastings, NE Dec. 5, 1944 ~ Apr. 30, 2014 Don was a devoted husband, dad, grandpa, and Catholic. His 49 years of marriage to his wife Charlyn and his lifetime of faith were an example for his family and others. He was a long-time member of St. Cecilia’s and St. Michael’s parishes in Hastings and an active life-long member of the Knights of Columbus. Don built his career in the Hastings business community. After 25 years at Hastings Industries and seven years at Portec in Yankton, South Dakota, he returned home to Hastings to help lead the rebuilding of Hastings Equity Grain Bin Company. He retired in 2012 to Omaha and fell in love with his new home, where he and Charlyn dedicated their time to grandkids’ activities. His favorite annual vacation was when the grandkids came to stay each summer. Preceded in death by his parents, Clarence & Beatrice Jurgensmeier Survived by wife of 49 years, Charlyn Jurgensmeier; children, Kevin Jurgensmeier, Bob (Sarah) Jurgensmeier, Jolene (Kurt) Hinrichs, Megan (Greg) Duncan; siblings, Theresa (Jim) Schneider, Walt (Mert) Rempe, Brother Herb Rempe, Tom (Karen) Jurgensmeier; grandchildren, Nate, Reid, Tara, Kali Jurgensmeier, Reese, Addison, Sam Duncan; step-grandchildren, Molly Maronde, Morgan Bachmann & Mitch Hinrichs; step-great-grandchild, Emma Maronde; many nieces & nephews. Visitation, Friday, 5-7 pm with a Rosary Service at 7:00 pm at Braman Mortuary (Southwest Chapel) Mass of Christian Burial, Saturday, 10:00 am at St. Stephen the Martyr Catholic Church (16701 S St.) Interment, Mt.
