Dillard Dee Milligan, 83 of Omaha, NE passed on November 6, 2023 at his home. Dillard was born on February 6. 1940 to Richard and Mildred (Dickinson) Milligan. Dillard was raised in Omaha by his mom and dad, Mildred and Darrell Mason where he graduated from Omaha Technical High School in 1958. In the fall of 1958 Dillard joined the Air Force, where he was stationed at Loring Air Force Base in Maine, while there he married Martha Rita Dubay and to this union two children were born Patrick and Peggy. They moved to Oregon in 1962 where they lived for two years. Dillard then moved back to Nebraska finding work in construction for various employers, and owning his own company D & M grading and snow removal. Dillard also found companionship and love with Marie Lyons, they had a unique bond and loved to dance. Dillard also enjoyed fishing, hunting and model trains.
He is survived by his son Patrick Milligan of Seaside Oregon, daughter Peggy Milligan of Madras Oregon, Marie’s daughter Kathy (Kenny) Heidvogel, Sister Doris “Penny” Lewis. He also leaves behind 7 grandchildren; Brian, Miranda, Theresa, Cassie, Cameron, Ashleigh, and Jason, 8 great grandchildren; Anthony, Natalie, Kashton, Karson, Emma, Isaac, Dominic, Christina, an uncle Bill Milligan, several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Dillard is proceeded in death by his loving companion Marie Lyons, Marie’s son Doug, parents, Mildred and Darrell Mason, Richard and Dorothy Milligan, first wife Rita Smith, sister and brother-in-law Dona and Larry Braman, brother-in-law James K Lewis, several aunts, uncles and cousins.
It was Dillard's request that no services be held.
