Diane Marie Bierbaum

Diane Marie Bierbaum, 66, of Kansas City, MO, formerly of Griswold, IA, died Sunday, December 1, 2024, at Liberty Hospital in Liberty, MO. Diane was born August 5, 1958 at Red Oak, IA hospital to the late Duane E. and Dorothy D. (Davis) Bierbaum.

Diane attended Griswold Community Schools and was active in basketball and softball. Following High School, she attended beauty school in Council Bluffs, IA. Diane starting working for Great Clips, Applewood Center, Omaha, NE as a manager in March, 1994. She retired in December of 2022. During this time she made amazing connections with countless people through her dedication at work, love of life and infectious laughter.

After Diane retired, she moved to Kansas City, MO to live with her daughter and grandson. Diane especially enjoyed cheering on her Grandson at sporting events and activities.

Survivors include her daughter, Lisa D. Johnson (Cody Gordon) of Kansas City, MO, her grandson Grayson L. Gordon, her brothers David (SueAnn) Bierbaum of Atlantic, IA, Douglas (Joyce) Bierbaum of Atlantic, IA, and Dwight Bierbaum of Griswold, IA, and many nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, Diane was preceded in death by her husband, Welton Johnson, and her sister-in-law, Charlette Bierbaum.

Visitation: Tuesday, December 10 from 12 pm - 2 pm at Braman Mortuary 72nd St. Chapel, 1702 N. 72nd St., Omaha, NE
Interment: Mount Hope Cemetery
