Dennis A. Hill

Dennis (Denny) Albert Hill was born June 29, 1950, in Ames Iowa to Albert and Della Hill. He was the third of six children, two older sisters, Linda (deceased) and Barb, and one younger sister Patti, and two brothers, Kenneth (deceased), and Steve. He grew up on the family farm in Colo Iowa until the family moved to Spencer Iowa when he was nine. They lived there for the next seven years until they moved to South Omaha when he was sixteen. Two years later, in the summer of 1968, he met his future wife Kathy. They were married the following year in December 1969. They had three children; Victoria Lynn (deceased), Kerri Lee (Freeman), and Dennis Albert Hill II. Denny worked for Stauffers/Zeneca/Syngenta for over 30 years, finally retiring in April 2006 at the age of 56. He and Kathy then enjoyed time fishing, camping, and traveling, spending time with family and friends, working on projects around the house, and helping friends and neighbors when ever he could. Denny had a way of making friends where ever he went, making people feel special and welcome. Denny passed away January 8, 2020 due to Leukemia. He will be missed by all. Dennis is preceded in death by daughter, Victoria Lynn Hill. Survived by wife, Kathy Hill (Seffron), daughter, Kerri (Darrin) Freeman, son, Denny (Brenda) Hill, and four grandchildren, Victoria, Degan, Cydney, and Crawford. Visitation: Monday, January 13 from 5-7 pm at Braman Mortuary Southwest Chapel. Celebration of Dennis' Life: Tuesday, January 14 at 11 am, also at the mortuary. Interment: St. John's Cemetery
