HEITMAN, Delphine MAPR 14, 1926 – Sept 22, 2009 Age 83, of Omaha, passed away surrounded by her family. She was born in Milligan, NE where she grew up on the family farm. After Graduation from High School, she attended Commercial Extension Business College and she then worked at Mutual of Omaha until her marriage when she became a mother and Homemaker. Once the kids were out of the house, she and Lee enjoyed the freedom of travel, especially Branson, Las Vegas and mom's favorite, Alaska.She enjoyed gardening and knitting with her little dog Heidi at her side.Everyone who wears her slippers and who is wrapped in her afghans will remember her always.She was united in marriage to Lee H Heitman on Sept 8, 1951.She is survived by her 3 children,David (Eileen) Heitman of Omaha, Lindsay (Carole) Heitman of Omaha, and her daughter Lexie (Mike) Schmit of York.7 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by:Husband, Leon Heitman of 45 years.Parents James and Mamie Kassik.Brother, James Robert Kassik. Friends and family are invited to celebrate the life of our mom.
