Deborah “Deb” Lynn Valenta, 63, went to Heaven on Saturday July 28, 2018 following a brief battle with cancer. Deb was born June 7, 1955 in Minneapolis MN to Donald and Beverly (Johnson) Nemmers. Deb graduated from Cedar Falls High School and attended Iowa State University. She marred John Valenta in 1975 and they had two daughters Michelle and Monica. Deb worked many years at Pioneer Hybrid in Johnston, Iowa before moving to Florida. The family moved to Omaha, NE in 1997 where Deb was employed at Scantron Services. Deb will be remembered for her caring attitude, her infectious smile and her love for family especially her 3 grandsons Jake, Tyler, and Blake. She enjoyed reading, baking, golfing, and gardening. Deborah was preceded in death by her parents Donald & Beverly Nemmers, brother Michael Nemmers; She is survived by her Daughters: Michelle (Mark) Engelbart, Monica Valenta; Grandchildren: Jake, Tyler and Blake Engelbart; Sister Vicki Smith; Brothers: Jim (Bonnie) Nemmers, Steve Nemmers; Step Siblings: Mike (Carrie) Thrall, Teri (Randy) Nordaker, Kris (Bryan) O’Leary; Step Father Bill Thrall; Many nieces and nephews.
