Dayle Lynn Dominy

August 26, 1948 — October 20, 2008

DOMINY, Dayle Lynn – Age 60 years, of Greenwood, Nebraska, died October 20, 2008 at the Fontenelle Home in Omaha. Dayle was born August 26, 1948 in Three Rivers, Michigan to her parents Dale and Amy (Reames) Loeffler. Dayle spent the first 13 years of her life in Three Rivers. She spent her time on her parents acreage where she helped run the go cart track and enjoyed spending time with her grandparents, aunts, uncles & cousins. Dayle moved to Golden, Colorado in her teen years. She graduated from Golden High School in 1966. Her oldest daughter, Tina, was born in 1967. Dayle moved to Ashland, Nebraska in 1969 and Cara was born in 1970. In the mid 70’s, Dayle went to work at Deeter Foundry in Lincoln, Nebraska. There she met the love of her life, Michael Dominy. They started their life together in Lincoln, but soon decided to go back to both of their roots and move to the country. After leaving Deeter, Dayle worked for Health Care Communications in Lincoln for 7 years. She then went on to work for Omaha Steel Castings in Omaha for 8 years. Dayle has very proud of both her daughters and their accomplishments. Tina Louise graduated from Nursing school in Omaha and has had a successful career as a Registered Nurse. In 2008, Dayle stood up with Tina when she married Clark Duchene in Rapid City, South Dakota. Cara Denise graduated form the International Air Academy in California and enjoyed an exciting career as a flight attendant for Midwest Airlines. In 2001, Dayle stood up with Cara when she married Dana Ienn in Ralston, Nebraska. Another of Dayle’s greatest joys was the birth of her 3 grandsons; Riley, Gavin & Nolan Ienn. She loved having the boy’s stay the night and spoiling them as only “Nama” could. Dayle loved her time spent on the acreage remodeling and renovating her home, as well as gardening, canning, bird watching and tending to her Rottweilers. She spent countless hours on her front porch, back patio and in her swimming pool. On April 27, 2007, Dayle began her courageous battle against cancer. She fought long and hard, enriching the lives of those she touched. Those who knew her, loved her. Dayle is survived by her husband, Michael Dominy; Daughters and Son’s-in-law, Tina & Clark Duchene and Cara & Dana Ienn; Father, Dale Loeffler; Brother, Terry Loeffler; Sister, Phyllis DeKok; Grandsons Riley, Gavin & Nolan Ienn.
