David Sherlock White passed away on November 24, 2022. David was born December 5, 1936, in Minneota, Minnesota to James S. and Sophie (Bjerkestrand) White.
David was baptized and confirmed at Hope Lutheran Church in Minneota. He graduated in 1954 from Minneota High School, where he competed in football, basketball, and baseball, and was part of the school plays and chorus.
After high school, David worked in the local bank until he was called from Reserve Status by the United States Army. He served in Korea from 1958 to 1960.
On June 15, 1963, he married Joanne Johnson from Barrett, Minnesota and they had three daughters.
David spent his career in the banking industry and loved watching sports, fishing with his friends, and singing wherever he went.
David is survived by his wife of 59 years, Joanne; his daughters, Debra Romig (Phil) of Golden, Colorado, Stacy White of Omaha, Nebraska, and Karen White (Marcus Pelegrimas) of Hurricane, West Virginia; four grandsons, Ben and Sam Romig and James and Michael Kliner; sister Janice Buesing (Robert) of Menomonie, Wisconsin, and brother Donald White (Cheri) of Pahrump, Nevada; and other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Lowell White of Anchorage Alaska.
