David P. "Red" Mcdonald

January 8, 1961 — April 10, 2021

"Red" David is survived by his parents Paul and Marjorie McDonald, his wife Janet McDonald, his step children, Brandon, Tara and Lanae, his grandchildren Nathan, Andre, Cameron, Brynn and Jada, his brothers Doug (Kris) and Dan McDonald, his niece Madison and Nephews Darrian and Nathan. He is predeceased by his brother Dennis, his grandparents Irving and Erma Norskov and Leta Bobbit. David was born in Fremont, Ne on January 8th 1961 to Paul and Marjorie McDonald. He graduated from Westside High School in 1979 and attended UNO for broadcasting classes. He married Janet on June 11, 2009 and with a loving heart took in her children and grandchildren as his own. David was a devoted husband who enjoyed his life hot air ballooning, balloon festivals and had the opportunity to fly in 8 different states. He enjoyed camping, fishing and traveling with his family. David was a die hard Nebraska Husker fan but he also enjoyed all different types of sports. After having acceptedthe lord as his personal savior on March 20, 2009 he became very passionate about his relationship with God and serving in his church. He loved his church family and was always willing to engage in church and community activities. He will be deeply missed by his friends, family, and all who knew him. Graveside Service at 10:00 am at Memorial Cemetery at 800 w 23rd St Fremont, NE 68025.Followed by funeral Service is scheduled for 11:30 am on April 17, 2021 at Braman Mortuary at 6505 S 144th St Omaha, Ne 68137, Chad Stoner will be the officiant. Flowers, donations and condolences may be offered at 5250 S 48th St Omaha, Ne 68117
