Darold L. Jordan, age 97, passed away peacefully on January 11, 2019, at his home.Darold was preceded in death by his wife Lois (Glissman) Jordan, his parents, Edward Lloyd Jordan and Nettie R. (Petty) Albaugh, sister Helen Kuony and brother Lyle Jordan. Darold was a veteran of World War II, where he was decorated with the Good Conduct Medal, Distinguished Unit Badge and the American Defense Service Ribbon. He was a AAF Supply Technician, and was a qualified Carbine Marksman with the 49th Service Squadron, 36th Service Group. During his time with the military he was stationed in Papua, New Guinea.Upon his honorable discharge from the Army Corps on July 31, 1945 he was a Technical Sergeant. Darold loved sharing his stories about his time serving his country. Darold came home from his military duty with a friend named Satan, a dog that took him in New Guinea. He was a proud American Veteran. Many years after his discharge he took it upon himself to arrange a reunion every year with squadron. With the help of his wife Lois, he kept his squadron up to date with a newsletter that went out monthly.He and Lois enjoyed meeting up with squadron and their wives yearly in Branson, Missouri. Darold worked for MUD for 25 years as a claims adjuster. He was a member of Grey Goose Society, the Masonic Order of the Temple. (John J. Mercer Lodge No. 290), American Legion and the Omaha chapter of the Shriners. Darold leaves behind a half-brother, Larry Jordan (Julie) of Flordia, half-brother Kevin Jordan (Julie), sister-in-law Jackie Jordan of Omaha, niece Sara Jordan-Heintz (Andrew) of Marshalltown, IA, niece Kerry Fishbaugh of Omaha, niece Debra Kuony Wolslaben of Omaha,niece Karen Richardson of Omaha, niece Janet Magda of Barberton, OH, nephew Doug Kuony of Omaha, nephew Steven Mazur (Brenda) of Omaha, Darold also left behind many more great nieces and nephews. Darold is survived by special friends, Belinda and John Dworak and Companion, Eunice Levisay. Anyone who came in contact with Darold throughout his lifetime became his friend, and their were many. Celebration of life will be held Saturday, January 26, 2019 at 10:30AM at Braman Mortuary (72nd St Chapel) 1702 N. 72nd Street Omaha.
