Daniel J. Rishel

Dan was born on October 16, 1944 to Marie Magdalena (Steglich) Rishel and Joseph Boyd Rishel in Omaha, NE. He was the 7th of 8 children born to Marie and Joseph. He had 2 brothers and 5 sisters. He started his school career at Corrigan Elementary and graduated from Omaha South High School 1963. He then went on to Municipal University of Omaha which is now called University of Nebraska at Omaha.
After graduating he married Joy Louise Shum and they had 2 daughters, Kristin Louise Rishel and Kari Marie Rishel. He admired and loved his daughters. He was working in the Banking Industry and then went on to work at Baird Holm Law. He then moved to Cincinnati, OH and worked at Peck Shaffer and Williams law firm for over 15 years. He moved back to Omaha in 1997 and began working as an Executive Director for Frasier Stryker Law firm before retiring in 2001. In his younger years Dan enjoyed hunting and fishing. After he moved to Cincinnati, he spent his spare time at the horse track. He did pretty well betting on the horses!
He is survived by his daughters Kristin Rishel and Kari Randazzo. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Kaitlyn (Hans) Brummer, Alexander Randazzo and Paisley Matzen. Also, his sister Mary Lane Nigrin and many nieces and nephews. Preceding him in death were his parents, Marie Rishel, Joseph Rishel. Siblings, Donald Rishel, John (Cork) Rishel, Delores Lorence, Barbara Richt, Linda Bergstrom, Diann Forcade.
