Dale H. Wulff
March 6, 1936 – November 3, 2022
Dale was the 9th of 11 children born to Frank & LeVee Wulff in Omaha, NE. His parents managed the Roller Bowl Skating Rink on Leavenworth where he and his siblings spent much of their time skating and working as guards. Dale began his career with Asplundh Tree Expert Co. when he was 17 years old. Then at the age of 19 he enlisted in the Marine Corps and served 2 years as a helicopter mechanic during the Korean War. On September 22, 1956 he married the love of his life, Bonnie Danburg. They were married for 66 years, had 2 children, 5 grandchildren, and 11 great grandchildren.
Dale retired as a Safety Supervisor with Asplundh after many years. He was heavily involved with his church and the Masonic Lodge over the years and enjoyed doing anything outdoors. He was a kind and generous man – always looking for opportunities to lend a helping hand to his family, friends, and neighbors. He enjoyed spending time with family, playing cards, picnics, and vacations. His later years were filled with enjoyment sitting outside in his favorite swing and feeding the neighborhood squirrels that came to visit him daily. He was a devoted husband, father, grandpa, and great grandpa. Dale was the last surviving sibling in his family and found it difficult to say goodbye to each of them.
We will always remember Dale’s sense of humor, kindness, and generosity through the years. His greatest love was his family – he was so very proud of their accomplishments.
Preceded in death by his parents, 7 brothers, 3 sisters, and recently 2 brothers-in-law. Survived by his loving wife of 66 years, Bonnie Wulff; children, Gary Wulff, Sr. and Lorie Nocita (Kevin); grandchildren, Mike Rogers (Tenisha), Gary Wulff, Jr. (Devon), Matt Wulff (Holly), Nikki Wulff (Will), and Mandie Nocita (Grant); sisters-in-law, Phyllis Danburg and Ginny Prchal; 11 great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews.
Special acknowledgement to Brookstone Village and Angels Care Hospice. The family is so grateful for the love, compassion, and care you gave to Dale during this difficult time. Also, a special thank you to Dale’s granddaughter Nikki, for working so diligently to find the right spot for grandpa!
