LEE, Claris W. - Age 79 years of Omaha Went to heaven on February 6, 2007. Claris was born on August 30, 1927 in Randolph Nebraska to Henry and Verle (Lambing) Lee. After school hours, he learned to telegraph at the local railroad depot and, at age 15, began working for the Chicago Northwestern Railroad. He served his country in the Navy during World War II and the Korean Conflict. He returned to a railroad career of 45 years with Union Pacific Railroad, working as a telegrapher, ticket agent, and freight agent. He was a member of Pacific Hills Lutheran Church, Morse Club of America, VFW, American Legion and Last Man’s Club. He married Donna Cloeter on March 23, 1952 in Fremont. Claris’ faith in Jesus made him a devoted husband, loving father, grandfather, and loyal friend. His family, friends, and co-workers considered him an “Admiral Man”. He is survived by his loving and devoted wife, Donna; son, Bradley of Phoenix; daughter and son-in-law, Gayla and Dess Fletcher; granddaughter, Natalie Fletcher; sister and brother-in-law, Janice and Don Lienemann; nephews, Cameron Cloeter, Courtney Cloeter, Doug Lienemann, Dan Lienemann; nieces, Diane Gernstein, Deb Bargholz, Diane Loberg; and great nieces and nephews. Celebration of Claris’ Life: Friday, February 9, 2007 at 11:00 o’clock at Pacific Hills Lutheran Church on 90th and Pacific Streets.
