February 10, 1947 - February 7, 2023
Christine Marie Otto of Omaha died on February 7, 2023 just three days short of her 76th birthday. She was predeceased by her parents George K. Otto and Lily (Paulson) Otto. She is survived by siblings George W. Otto of Springfield, Nebraska and Margaret (Peg) Ariza of Papillion, Nebraska; and, nieces Laurel Maguire of Blair, Nebraska and Heather Vogt of Morrison, Colorado and their families.
Chris graduated from Wayne State college with a degree in education. After teaching a few years, she began a long career at Northwestern Bell/USWest/Century Link.
She will be greatly missed by “the stitchers” — Barb Dasenbrock, Peg Pennell, Sandy Kovanda, Connie Duckert, Lisa Gentes, Cindy Van Riper, Sue Gentes, and Mary Ramirez — with whom she spent many happy hours throughout the years. The family thanks these ladies for their enduring and genuine friendship.
Chris was also an avid reader and had a life long love for the public library.
Because Chris opted for organ donation, she will be cremated and a private family memorial will take place later in the spring.
