KINGERY, Chester D. “Chet” age 64 years of Omaha, passed away February 17, 2011 after a long battle with emphysema. Chester was born April 6, 1946 in Creston, IA to Floyd and Lois Kingery. Chester was raised on a farm North of Corning and lived there until the fall of 1960 when his father, Floyd had to quit farming due to his health and moved to town. Chester worked for Leonard Produce in Corning from early 1961 till the summer of 1965. Chester joined the Army in 1965 and served two years overseas. After military service, Chester moved to Bennington, NE and worked as a mechanic. Chester moved to Omaha, NE in 1975 and worked for Benson Transfer moving families from coast to coast. He took pride in his work. In 1994 he had to give up working due to his failing health. Chester is preceded in death by his parents, sister Grace Ann Kingery, and brother-in-law Dale Romine. Chester is survived by his four sons, Jim Kingery and wife India of Burlington, NC, Michael Kingery and late best friend Ellen, Patrick Kingery and wife Dorie, Timothy Kingery all of Omaha, NE. He is also survived by his sisters Eleanor Romine of Fairview Heights, IL and Marilyn Harder, husband Rolland of North Little Rock, AR. Also six grandchildren, two step-grandchildren and two great-grandchildren along with several nieces and nephews. Visitation, Monday 5-7PM at Braman Mortuary (1702 N. 72nd St. Omaha, NE) Funeral Service, Tuesday, 11:00AM at Mt. Etna Church of the Brethren (Corner of Juniper Ave. and Washington St. Mt.
