Tuesday, October 1st, 1946 ~ Sunday, December 8th, 2024

Cheryl Elaine Holm was born October 1, 1946, in Wakefield, NE to Harold and Elaine Holm. Cheryl was raised in Wakefield and attended high school there. After high school, she attended Wayne State College for 2 years. During high school, Cheryl worked in the Wakefield hospital as an aide. She faithfully attended St. John Lutheran Church along with her parents and brother.

During a basketball game between Wakefield/Emerson she was pointed out to an Emerson student (also a senior as Cheryl) and he told his friend he would like to have a date with that very pretty girl. She accepted an invitation for a blind date through her friend and boyfriend. Cheryl and Dennis had a date in April 1964 until their marriage on October 30, 1966, and moved to Omaha where she worked for several companies. Her last employment was with an engineering firm where she worked for 33 years until her retirement.

Cheryl and Dennis had two children, Tami (Dahlgren) and Shawn. She has eight grandchildren, five great-grandchildren (two are living with Jesus) and many friends. One friend described her as a classy and gracious person, even in sickness. She was active in church choir, lady’s aide, many bible studies and other functions in church. Cheryl was also active in many political functions, enjoyed going to many concerts locally and in Branson. Cheryl loved hummingbirds, giraffes and Precious Moments figurines.

In the past two years, Cheryl survived leukemia and a major surgery, but it took a toll on her overall health. Cheryl went to live with her Savior on December 8, 2024.
