Cheryl L. Cryer (71) of Omaha, NE passed away on October 3, 2020. She was born on January 17, 1949 in Springfield, IL to parents Homer & Ernestine (Truter) Spencer. She married James H. Cryer on December 6, 1968 and he preceded her in death in 2003. Cheryl operated a licensed home daycare for almost 20 years. She was a member of the Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Sherman, IL. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends and cooking for those she loved especially her good fried chicken and homemade noodles. Hobbies included cooking, baking, bunco club, bowling, arts and crafts. Preceded in death by parents, husband, three brothers (Jack, Bill & Clarence Spencer) and five sisters (Peggy Buhl, Barb Bilyeu, Nancy Webber, Donna Leamons & Karen Anderson). Survived by daughter Dawn Cryer, son Dean (wife Christy) Cryer, two brothers (Ronnie & Larry Spencer), three grandkids (Makenna, Brayden & Madison), several nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Lung Association. Inurnment will be held at a later date at Camp Butler National Cemetery in Springfield, IL.
