Charles 'Swede' R. Lambert

June 6, 1918 — May 19, 2012

Swede was a life long mechanic, he worked on the Enola Gay at the Martin Bomber Plant and retired as a maintenance foreman at O.P.P.D after 30 years of service. He was a member of the Omaha Softball Hall of Fame. Swede was a devoted Husband, Father, Grandfather and he never met a dessert he didn’t like. He is survived by his Wife of 66 years Marian; Children: Rick Lambert & wife Jan, Craig Lambert & wife Gale Coleman, Jay Lambert & wife Debra, Todd Lambert & wife Diana; 12 Grandchildren & 8 Great Grandchildren; Many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Celebration of Swede’s Life: Thur., May 24, 2012 at 1:00 PM at Braman Mortuary (72 St. Chapel). Visitation: Wed., after 4 PM, with family present from 6-8:00 PM at Braman Mortuary (72 St. Chapel).
