Charlene T. Evans

March 22, 1941 — December 22, 2022

Evans, Charlene T. "Chuckie" 3/22/1941 - 12/22/2022 Charlene "Chuckie" was the youngest of 10 children born to Rudy and Josie Hoffman. Raised on a farm outside of Willey, Iowa - she learned how to be tough and how to work hard. After high school graduation, she worked at the Carroll, Iowa Chamber of Commerce. She came to Omaha to work at Mutual of Omaha and the phone company. She met and married the love of her life, Gary Evans on May 6, 1961. She had three children who can attest that she was the best mom ever (especially when she made her homemade cinnamon rolls on those snow days) and all the other days of the year too. As she raised her family, she worked outside the home in many part-time jobs, to help put her kids through college. As her kids left, she started over with her six grandchildren, guiding them through life with her wisdom and love. Everyone she met throughout her life was considered family and became important to her. We cannot find the words to explain how much we will miss her, but she will live on in our hearts and memories forever. Chuckie is survived by her loving husband of 62 years, Gary; children: Kim Bridenbaugh & husband Roger, Greg Evans, Matt Evans & fiance Michelle Mazini; grandchildren: Madeline, Elizabeth, William, Joseph, Austin, Sara; sisters: Rose Kanealy, Joan Rietz; many other relatives and friends.
