Bruce R. (Butch) Bahe, 59 Omaha Passed away Thursday morning, August 11 at the University of Nebraska Medical Center. He was born November 11, 1951 in West Point, Nebraska and was raised in Fremont where he graduated from Fremont High School in 1970. He attended Wayne State College and graduated from the University of Nebraska at Lincoln in 1975. He played baseball for both Wayne State and the University of Nebraska. He received his MBA from the University of Nebraska. Butch worked for Ford Motor Company in Detroit, Commonwealth Electric in Lincoln, and WESCO in Philadelphia before joining Hearthstone Homes in Omaha in July of 1996. Butch Bahe married Janice Torell in Lincoln March 20, 1981. He was a member of the Foundation Board of Madonna Rehabilitation Hospital and Teammates Mentors Program. Butch is survived by his wife Jan, one son Scott Bahe (wife Jacey) of Omaha and one daughter Emily Bahe of Kansas City, Missouri: One sister, Cindy Boettner of Omaha; two brothers, Chip Bahe (wife Jenny) of Omaha and Ritch Bahe (wife Raette) of Lincoln. He was close to all his nieces and nephews. Butch was preceded in death by his parents Al and Patti Bahe. Memorial Services will be Monday at 11:00 A.M. at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Gretna. Pastor Gary Werling officiating. The family will receive friends at Braman Mortuary Southwest Sunday from 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M.
