Brad was born in Omaha on April 6th, 1972, and graduated Northwest High School in 1990. Immediately after high school, he enlisted in the US Marine Corp where he served four years of active duty; then two years in the Marine Reserves; followed by an additional six years of service in the Nebraska Army National Guard. Brad married his wife Deidra in 1996 and they settled in the Millard area of Omaha where they would raise three beautiful children together. After his service to our country, Brad eventually worked at Metropolitan Utilities District from 2004 until his death. Brad’s passion was his family. He found great joy in his children and spent many years attending his son’s baseball games and his daughters show choir performances. An avid sportsman, Brad was a lifelong hunter and fisherman who loved the outdoors. In recent years, he spent a great deal of time on the Missouri River Delta on the Nebraska-South Dakota border and gained a love for exploring and navigating the river. He was an extremely caring grandfather for his two grandsons who lit up his world. He will be sorely missed by his family and friends and will be remembered as a man who set the standard for dedication to his family.
