Bradley James Henderson, passed away on November 16, 2022. Brad was born on February 7, 1975, at Saint Luke’s Hospital, in Sioux City, Iowa, to the union of Loretta and Ronald Henderson.
Brad, affectionately called Bratley by his sisters, graduated from North High School in 1993. In his younger days, he raced BMX bikes. He also played soccer which could be challenging because, as 6’5 Brad claimed, the short kids ran under his legs. He later continued his education at Metro Community College.
In 2007, Brad reconnected with Val Denney through the website Classmates. Brad and Val were married on June 16, 2012.
After trying out many different jobs, Brad finally found his happiness working for the City of Omaha, as a Construction Inspector.
Brad loved being with family, especially the yearly trip to Paulina! He loved being around his extended family, and playing volleyball.
Brad was always planning his next vacation with Val! They loved their time together and making new memories. His favorite memories included walking on the beach, going to the Mecum Car Auctions, and Go Kart Racing.
Brad had a deep affection for animals in general and dogs specifically. He especially loved his little buddy Willie. He liked to alert his Facebook friends about all lost pets of a. His sister is convinced that Omaha is an endless sea of lost dogs. He also loved Merkat Manor and could spend hours talking about Flower and the rest of the Whiskers tribe.
Brad and Val built their dream home in 2020 and Brad loved to have friends over to play pool or just hang out at the fire pit. He also liked all the best kinds of craft beer possible.
Brad is survived by his wife Valeria “Val”; (Denney) Henderson, mother Loretta Henderson (Sioux City), sisters Jeanne Henderson (Coralville), Jenny (Chad) Murray (Sioux City), nieces Makenna Murray (Okoboji) and Alyssah Murray (Sioux City), in laws Katie and Arthur Weston (Sloan), Dennis and Deb Denney (Omaha), Also left to cherish his memory are many loving and kind family members and friends.
Brad is preceded in death by his father, Ronald Henderson, his maternal grandparents Verlie and Howard Kluender, paternal grandmother Marvel Henderson, and his beloved little buddy Willie.
We hope when everyone thinks of him, they remember his honestly, smart ass attitude, and his love for fun!
