After living a wonderful, happy life, Bonnie recently passed away. Bonnie was happily married to Bob Chastain for 72 years. They are survived by their daughter Sue Chastain; their son Joel Chastain and his wife Jean; their four grandchildren Joshua, Jourdain, Jakob, and Kelsey; and their four great-grandchildren.
In the early years of their marriage, Bonnie and Bob were farmers in Iowa. Then they moved to Omaha where Bob sold insurance. Then the real estate business became their business interest. They both sold homes for many years. Then they designed, built and decorated their luxury homes, known as Chastain Homes, Inc.
The family spent many weeks over the years at their condo in Lake of The Ozarks, boating and water skiing. And Bonnie and Bob spent some winter months at their home in Phoenix.
They enjoyed spending time with their friends over the years, hosting parties in their home. They also enjoyed taking care of their yard and flower gardens. Bonnie played a lot of bridge and was a member of the American Contract Bridge League, a competitive membership. She was also an avid book reader.
There will be a service on April 25th at 1:30 at the Omaha National Cemetery, 14250 Schram Road, Omaha.
