Billie Faye Johnson was born on October 21, 1935 in Hope, Arkansas, a daughter of Muruel and Rodella (Holmes) Johnson. Billie moved to Omaha, Nebraska in the summer of 1954, working various jobs. Billie married Robert Sterling on August 14, 1964 in Omaha, and through this union, Billie gave birth to three children. Since that time, Billie devoted her life to raising her children, and later assisting in raising her grandchildren.
Billie is survived by her daughters, Pam Sterling of Tempe, Arizona, Yvonne (Keith) Gordon of Omaha, Nebraska, and Lisa Sterling of Omaha, Nebraska. Billie is also survived by eight grandchildren, ten great grandchildren and many other family members.
