Beverly & Max Tiffany

November 23, 2018 — November 26, 2018

It is with great sadness that the family of Max and Bev Tiffany announce their passing. Bev died on Friday, November 23 at the age of 76, and her husband and best friend Max followed her on Monday, November 26 at the age of 85. Beverly Lee Means was born on June 11, 1942 in Omaha, Nebraska to Allan Means and Naomi Means (Chapman). After Naomi's death and Allan's marriage to DeLoris Sedgwick, Bev was adopted by her step-mother. She went to Omaha North High Magnet School. She worked in the beauty industry until she retired. Max Reaves Tiffany was born on January 29, 1933 to Eliza May Tiffany (Taylor) and Asa York Tiffany. Max had careers in both the Army (as a paratrooper with the 82nd Airborne Division) and the Air Force. After being discharged from the Army in 1953, he was called to go on a New England States Mission for the LDS Church, where he met his first wife, Joan Elizabeth Purinton. Max and Joan had four children: Duane, Doug, David and Debbie. Max then enlisted in the Air Force, where he worked from 1956 through 1973. When he retired from the Air Force, he worked at the Federal Reserve Bank in Omaha. Max and Bev met at a Single Adult Program in 1979. They were married on June 3, 1980. They have been together ever since. They did not want to be apart so they left this world together. Max and Bev are survived by their loving family: sons/stepsons David Tiffany (spouse Stephanie), Doug Tiffany, daughter Debbie Cornwall (Andrew), sister/sister-in-law Leslie Bryan (Steve), and many cousins, nieces, nephews, and grandchildren. They are predeceased by their parents, Bev's brother David Means, Max's eighteen brothers and sisters, Max's first wife Joan, and Max's son/Bev's stepson Duane Tiffany. There will be a joint service for Max and Bev. They will be buried together. Celebration of Max & Beverly's Life: Friday, Dec. 7, 2018 at 11:00am, with visitation one hour prior to the service, all at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints (14680 California St.) Graveside Service: Friday, Dec. 7, 2018 at 1:00pm at the Omaha National Cemetery.
