KAMPE, Bethany J. 2/5/1991 – 1/4/2019 Age 27 years of Omaha Bethany Jeanne Kampe was born in Tucson, Arizona on February 5th, 1991. She departed from this world peacefully on January 4, 2019, finally rid of the pain she endured for so long. She was born not under Nina Tyrell’s heart, but in it. Nina Tyrell (now Kampe) adopted Bethany after joyously receiving in her foster care when she was ten days old. Nina adopted her as a single mother, August 2,1993 and gave her a forever home where she grew up and was loved. She then became an older sister to Alison Kampe a few years later. The “Three Musketeers” (Nina, Bethany, and Alison) have been inseparable ever since. This bond, even on her last days, was never broken. She then moved to Omaha, NE with her trio to live with her grandparents Terese and George Tyrell. Bethany always was their sunshine. She is now shining with them in a heavenly embrace. Bethany was then adopted by Bruce Kampe August 28, 1999 after her mother’s marriage. Her parents then adopted Haley, Kathryn, Jonah, Daniel, Destiny and Aviana. She loved them dearly and friends recall her speaking of them as her everything. Bethany also took every foster child in her arms that resided in her parent’s home. She took them under her wing as a sister regardless of DNA. Bethany was also given a niece, Kateri Rose. Kateri was so in love with her “Boo boo” and speaks of their adventures frequently. This originates from her childhood nickname of “Boo boo bear” and Alison was her “Woogie bear” originating from the Yogi bear show. Bethany went to St. Pius X/St. Leo for elementary and middle school. She attended Marian Highschool for two years, then transferred to Westside. Her teachers always spoke of her as a bright student who was a joy to have in the classroom. She spent her time in school not only standing out academically but was known for engaging with her peers in a way that many still remember. This is where she started touching so many lives and embracing others with a kind heart. Bethany loved all things natural. She was happiest being outdoors and exploring places such as California and Colorado. She also was a very creative soul who enjoyed drawing, sketching and painting the beautiful things that she imagined, as well as what she surrounded herself with. Bethany was also very athletic in her younger years and enjoyed soccer, basketball, volleyball and even softball. Bethany never really had just one circle of friends. She had the ability to touch those from every walk of life, regardless of interests, race, or status. Bethany was known for accepting everyone and always rooting/sticking up for those who she felt could not do so by themselves. She was a force and strength to be reckoned with. Her beauty, charisma, and sheer hilarity made a room light up the moment she walked in ot. Her inside jokes and remarks are still being brought from years later, making her family smile in this time of grief. Bethany had many friends and loved ones. It is hard to point out whom she loved the most, since her heart was so big. She had a very special place for her sister Ali and a few close friends around her. Her and Ali were best friends and have been there for each other from birth to death. She had a very dear friend Alex and Jose was like a brother to her for many years. Her silly faces, welcoming attitude, and contagious joy made every soul she touched fall in love with her. Her smile and laugh will never fade in our minds and in our hearts. Her end was tragic, at the age of 27, but those who knew her are glad she is at peace. She no longer has to battle those demons of this earth and is now in the arms of her creator. Please give her friends, family, and community, your thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.
