Barbara A Stout

Barbara was born November 28, 1942 in Indianapolis, Indiana to Rev. Frederick and Dorothy Frischie Falkenroth.She moved to Cedar Bluffs, Nebraska in 1953 at age 10 and to Omaha in 1957 at age 14.Barbara graduated from Westside High School in Omaha in 1961.She worked for St. Joseph Hospital as a nurse's aide until she graduated from Metropolitan Community College in Omaha with an AA in child care. She worked in various child care facilities until she retired in 2002. Barbara was married to John Brooke Stout on June 11, 1967 in Omaha, NE.John preceded Barbara in death on October 15, 2005. Barbara was a member of St. Mark's Lutheran Church in Omaha from 1957 until her death.Her father had been the minister at the same church from 1957 until 1992. Barbara particularly loved traveling on cruises over an 18-year period.She also loved playing cards and visiting with family. Barbara passed away on November 23, 2021.She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, John.She is survived by her two brothers, Roger of Omaha and Chuck and sister-in-law Jacki of Reno, NV., sister, Carolyn and brother-in-law Mike Gore of Paris, TN., and sister-in-law Shirley Hudleson. She is also survived by 7 nephews and nieces and many grandnieces and grandnephews.
