Barbara Joyce Klouw

Barb died peacefully and went to be with her Lord and Savior, on October 30, 2024. She was 94.
She was born in Muskegon MI to Louis and Johanna Heeres in June 1930. She graduated from Calvin College and Blodgett Hospital School of Nursing, in 1951.
She worked as an RN in various facilities specializing in Geriatrics. She was married to Gordon Klouw for 68 years. She faithfully served as a pastors wife for 15 years. Barb and Gord lived in various locations including California, Michigan, and Arizona. Barb was currently living at Echo Hills Assisted Living in Omaha, NE.
Barb is preceded in death by her parents Louis and Johanna Heeres, her brother Stanley Heeres, and her husband, Gord Klouw.
Barb is survived by her three daughters, Sue (Jer) Burkeen of Discovery Bay, CA, Nancy (Dave) Rottenberg, of Omaha, NE, and Julie (Jay) Vant Land of Wasilla, AK. Barb has 7 grandchildren, Jeff Rottenberg, Kim (Porath) Rottenberg, Derek Rottenberg, Jeremy Burkeen, Justin Burkeen, Stephanie Vant Land, and Brandon Vant Land. She has 7 great grandchildren. She is also survived by her brother Jim Heeres of Whitehall MI, her sister-in-law, Andrea Heeres, and two nieces.
Barb enjoyed seeing her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She also enjoyed playing the piano and keeping in touch with numerous friends.
Barb had a deep faith in Jesus Christ and we know that we will see her again in heaven.
A family burial will take place at Graafschap Cemetery in Holland MI in Spring of 2025.
