B. Eleanor Anderson

December 26, 1921 — August 24, 2013

Beloved daughter of Carl and Hanna Anderson of Newman Grove, Nebraska. Preceding her in death--stepbrothers Willard, Ted, and Melvin, and stepsister Ruby. Eleanor worked in secretarial positions at Omaha businesses before volunteering and then working for the Douglas County Republican Party. The last job was her favorite and she loved the many friends that she made in her work there. An avid Husker football fan, those Saturday games with friends were a highlight for her. Eleanor was longtime member of Benson Presbyterian Church where she served as an Elder and choir member. Her quick wit and sense of humor will be missed by her many friends as well as nieces and nephews including Carl, Carol, Don, Ron, Marlene, Kay, Gale, Neil, Elaine, and Janice. Preceding her in death: Layton, Judy, Gary, and Richard. Eleanor loved to play games--especially Scrabble. In her later years she also enjoyed the Sunday evening tradition of the Quiddler game. She was often crowned the "Queen of Quiddler" at evening's end. She was a fun, loving, and kind friend, aunt, and great aunt--and leaves many sweet memories.
