October 13, 1953 — September 30, 2023

Anthony Bernard Gotto, Age 69 of Omaha NE.

(Aka Tony, Bommer & Buzz)

Passed away Saturday, September 30, 2023

Tony was born in Onawa, IA on October of 1953, and lived on the family farm outside of Ute, IA. Tony attended and graduated high school in Charter Oak, IA. Tony’s love was brawling, football, family gatherings, card games, fishing, and he was infamously known by his children to start in-house water fights!

Tony met his wife Kathleen on a blind date and they were married a year and half later on July 5th, 1975 and lived near Soldier, IA. Tony and Kathleen were experts and professionals at packing and moving during their first year of marriage due to Tony’s exceptional personality! Tony and Kathleen moved to Mapleton in the early 1980’s and started their family. They then moved to Denison, IA in 1987. The family moved to Buck Grove, IA in 1991. Tony worked in Denison at the local packing houses for the next 20 years. In 2003, Tony, Kathleen and Tony Lee moved to the big city of Omaha, NE. Tony and Kathleen have remained in Omaha until his passing on September 30, 2023.

Tony is survived by his wife Kathleen Gotto of 48 years; his beloved sons and daughter; Mathew (Charisa) Gotto, Tina (Adam) Bailey and Tony Gotto and his wildly adored 11 grandchildren; Thomas, Tanner, Elijah, Callie, Isaiah, Isiah, Aubree, Lillianna, Tucker, Ireland and Bryson; and siblings Randy and Teresa Gotto of Onawa, IA, Pam Gotto of Sioux City, IA, Jeff and Diane Gotto of Ute, IA, Steve Gotto of Wilmington, NC, Charlie Gotto of Charter Oak, IA, Georgia Gotto of Charter Oak, IA.

Tony is well-known for his love for our Lord Jesus, and was the BEST Husband, Dad and Papa EVER!

Tony’s wisdom, wittiness, generosity and enduring love will forever be in our hearts.
