Mary Ann was a beloved wife, mother, daughter, sister and grandmother for an incredible 94 years. She entered the Kingdom of Heaven in the early morning hours of Friday August 11, 2023.
Mary Ann was born to Scott Clifford (Sam) and Anna Elsie Williams on March 8, 1929. She was the eldest daughter of four girls.
Mary married David Gordon September 29, 1946, and made their home on a farm in Lovilia Iowa. They were blessed with four loving children which they raised in Lovilia. She worked at Monroe County Hospital as a nurse’s aide for several years before moving to Nevada, Iowa. They moved to Slater, IA a few years later where Mary Ann babysat for several families while David worked for the county as a road maintainer. Upon retiring, they moved to Milton, Iowa to be near Mary’s parents. After David’s death Patty (their daughter) moved in with Mary and continued to live with her in Milton for several years. Later, Mary decided to move to Omaha, Ne and Patty moved to Madrid, Iowa to be closer to her children.
Mary lived in an apartment and then assisted living in Omaha, until her health worsened, and she moved to a nursing home in Elkhorn, NE until her death.
She was proceeded in death by her husband David Gordon, her parents Sam and Anna Williams, daughter Patty Kint, grandsons Joe and John David, sister Elsie Wilcoxson and great granddaughter Laina Gordon.
Mary Ann is survived by two sons Terry Gordon, Larry (Becky) Gordon, and daughter Debra Ceglar; Her grandchildren Shelley, Brian, Aaron, Travis, Jeremy, Jessica, Billie, Todd, Amanda, and Tyler. She had 30 great grandchildren; sisters, Helen Sameulson and Shirley Williams; many loving relatives and friends.
CELEBRATION OF Mary Ann's LIFE: Saturday, August 19th, 2023 at 11:00 am to 1pm, at Braman Mortuary (Southwest Chapel).
